NEAR Controversial Marketing Stunt
• @NEARProtocol pulled off a controversial stunt pretending that the X account got hijacked by a mysterious hacker that talk shit on the entire Web3 industry as well as NEAR itself (why? lol)
• The objective of the stunt is to attract attendees for a NEAR DevCon side event in Bangkok during 9-11 November
• The stunt garnered a mix response with those questioning where it’s right to do this since NEAR discord was compromised not long ago and we’re also seeing the rise of phishing hacks
Grass Airdrop Checker
• The @getgrass_io airdrop checker is now live, allowing users to check their eligibility for the first airdrop of $GRASS tokens
• The checker currently shows allocations for Closed Alpha and Epochs 1-7, excluding the ongoing Bonus Epoch and future allocations
• The total supply is 1 billion $GRASS tokens, with 10% allocated for the airdrop
• They also announced the Grass Foundation, overseeing the ecosystem's long-term trajectory
Euler v2
• @eulerfinance v2 is live, offering a new modular approach to lending and borrowing
• Unlike its predecessor, Euler v2 is a meta-lending protocol that supports limitless use cases for onchain credit
• It allows builders to create highly customizable vaults that can handle almost any digital asset, including traditional crypto, tokenized real-world assets, and synthetic or non-fungible tokens
• The platform supports various vault types—governed, ungoverned, escrowed, and yield aggregators
Renegade Dark Pool
• After Stylus went live, @renegade_fi deployed the first on-chain dark pool on Arbitrum, offering fully-private trading with zero MEV, slippage, or price impact
• Unlike traditional DEXes, Renegade uses multi-party computation (MPC) for order matching and zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) for trade settlement, ensuring complete privacy
• It offers the best price by matching trades at the midpoint of the Binance bid-ask spread, avoiding issues like stale AMM prices or thin order book liquidity
Gelato’s Native Modules
• @gelatonetwork's new 1-Click Native Modules enable users to instantly deploy service-packed blockchain networks, eliminating the need for third-party integrations and significantly reducing costs and time to market
• These modules are hosted directly on chain servers, offering low latency and high throughput. This deep integration allows for advanced protocol designs and improved performance
• The first Native Module is set to launch today
Royco IAM
• Royco introduces the Incentivized Action Market (IAM) Protocol, aimed at revolutionizing how incentives are managed in blockchain ecosystems.
• Market for Incentives: IAM Protocol transforms any blockchain transaction into a market where incentives can be added, negotiated, or captured. This includes moving assets into vaults or executing smart contract calls termed as "Recipes."
• Liquidity and Lockups: IAM measures and captures latent liquidity for each incentive dollar spent, providing insights into user lockup hurdle rates, enhancing the efficiency of incentive spending.
• Over $65M in interest has been shown through a waitlist, indicating strong community support or anticipation for the p rotocol's launch. The IAM aims to significantly reduce wasted resources in how billions are spent on incentives annually.
Kamino Lend V2
• @KaminoFinance introduced Kamino Lend V2, introducing the Market Layer and the Vault Layer:
⇢ The Market Layer opens up the V1 infrastructure to allow for permissionless market creation enabling for more assets to be used on the protocol with its own different risk profiles
⇢ The Vault Layer introduces automated single-asset lending vaults that aggregate liquidity across various markets to deliver risk optimized yields. Kamino’s Vault can be seamlessly integrated into external platforms to allow better access to Kamino’s yields
• V2 also has a new liquidation engine with Scam Wick Protection, an oracle mechanism which identifies scam wicks to protect users from unnecessary liquidations. Furthermore instead of fixed liquidation penalties, V2 will have Liquidation Auctions whereby Liquidators bid beginning from the starting penalty, with each bid lowering the penalty
• Lastly, V2 introduces Spot Leverage which will feature a perps-like UI, lower fees, less fee volatility, yields on collateral and soft liquidations. Instead of having to manually monitor position risk at all times, V2 enables users to set Stop Loss/Take Profit levels for their leverage positions
EigenLayer Season 2 Stakedrop
• @eigenfoundation announced the EIGEN Season 2 stakedrop in preparation for the unlock
• Users who staked ETH or EIGEN during Season 2 will be eligible and the amount of rewards are measured by the amount of ETH or EIGEN staked up till the snapshot date of August 15. Operators will also be rewarded based on the amount of delegated-EIGEN or their wighted delegated ETH hours
• Ecosystem partners including eligible AVSs, LRTs, Rollups, RaaS, and other key contributors to the EigenLayer ecosystem will also be rewarded. Lastly, certain community members may also be eligible and these users can verify their social identity to check on their eligibility
• The EigenLayer team also plans to have a programmatic incentives program to provide continuity of rewards for stakers and operators following the Season 2 Stakedrop
