PumpdotScience DeSci Season
• DeSci has recently made headlines during DevCon week (last week) possibly spurring the start of DeSci season
• This all started because a photo of CZ & Vitalik in a room full of DeSci builders circulated across CT, signaling that both CZ & Vitalik are bullish on the sector
• @pumpdotscience, a DeSci version of @pumpdotfun rose in popularity as CT can now pump DeSci coins up while “contributing to the betterment of the society”
• Funds help bootstrap experimental research on animals like worms, flies, and mice (it follows similar mechanics to Virtuals Network where if MC reaches certain threshold, the compound gets tested on each animal, starting with worms at $69k MC)
• Two compounds are live $RIF $URO, both been pumping non-stop regardless of the FUD
• There seems to be this FUD around devs of @pumpdotscience pumping & dumping new coins. Pumpdotscience addressed the FUD with this POST
• The post doesn’t seem to assuage the community concerns — see this post for more details
• (I’m personally going to stay away from PumpdotScience but will look to learn more on DeSci, pretty interesting)
Infura x Eigen
• @infura_io’s Decentralized Infrastructure Network (DIN), launched by Consensys, is now serving requests across multiple blockchains and is expanding as an @EigenLayer AVS
• DIN provides a decentralized API marketplace for web3, enhancing accessibility, reliability, and developer support across Ethereum and new networks like Mantle, ZKsync, and Starknet
• Its integration with EigenLayer leverages staked ETH for enhanced security and broader services. DIN drives down development costs while improving scalability and reliability for blockchain networks and web3 gateways
dYdX MegaVault
• MegaVault is a liquidity management tool for the @dYdX Chain, allowing users to deposit USDC to earn yield based on the vault's net equity, which aggregates returns from trading profits, fees, and other incentives
• Deposits are allocated across sub-vaults that implement automated market-making strategies for specific markets, with yields or losses realized upon withdrawal
• Instant market listings require a locked USDC deposit to ensure initial liquidity. The system balances user flexibility with robust liquidity provision
Ozean x Solv
• Ozean, a blockchain for RWA yield launched by @ClearpoolFin, integrates SolvBTC, @SolvProtocol’s Bitcoin reserve token, into its Oxygen (O2) liquidity layer
• O2 combines RWAs, tokenized treasuries, and yield-bearing crypto assets into a liquidity pool for swaps, lending, and collateralization while reinvesting yield to improve liquidity
Poison Incentivizer
• @PoisonFinance is developing an automated liquidity incentivizer for Uniswap V4 to reward liquidity providers for targeting critical price bands
• It concentrates liquidity to maintain the peg of synthetic Potions (pTokens), ensuring price stability
• The system dynamically adjusts incentives to adapt to market changes, supporting consistent price stability
arcUSD and MORE depeg
• @yieldsandmore reported that both arcUSD by @Arcana_Finance and MORE by @stackmorexyz have depegged on the @real_rwa chain
• See original post HERE on why they depeg
Balancer v3
• @Balancer v3 introduces major advancements in custom pool creation, yield optimization, and modular design, aiming to enhance LP returns and veBAL holder benefits
• It reduces yield fees from 50% to 10% to drive adoption of boosted pools, which channel liquidity into lending markets for higher yields. The simplified fee model splits fees between voting incentives, veBAL holders, and the DAO, prioritizing high-performing pools
• Launch begins in Q4 2024 with a full rollout by mid-2025
Introducing lzRead
• @LayerZero_Core introduced lzRead, a feature of thje protocol that enables developers to access on-chain data across multiple blockchains with a single function call
• It simplifies workflows by providing seamless, cost-effective, and secure data retrieval while allowing for transformations like computing and validation through Decentralized Verifier Networks (DVNs)
• Developers can customize messaging channels for efficiency and security, enabling use cases like cross-chain governance, asset verification, real-time reserves proof, and multi-chain price feeds
Hook Acquisition
• @Calderaxyz, a rollups-as-a-service provider, has acquired @HookProtocol, a development team previously focused on rollups for perpetual futures in memecoins and NFTs
• The acquisition supports Caldera's development of Metalayer, an Ethereum rollup infrastructure platform aimed at unifying and improving coordination across Layer 2 and Layer 3 scaling ecosystems
• Caldera has already launched over 50 rollups for various projects. Hook's team has transitioned to contribute to Metalayer
Lens v3
• @LensProtocol has launched Lens V3 as a Developer Preview, introducing an upgraded infrastructure for scalable, decentralized social applications with modular on-chain features. Built on @zksync and @AvailProject
• New features include customizable Accounts, transferable Usernames, flexible Graphs for connections, curated Feeds, and membership-based Groups
• These features enable developers to create unique user experiences with monetization and governance options, supported by decentralized Lens Storage Nodes
Introducing Hadron
• @hadron_tether introduced Hadron by Tether, a platform allowing users to tokenize anything from stocks to bonds
• Hadron provides a platform for users to issue and manage tokenized assets and even provide tools for compliance such as KYC, AML etc. from on chain to CEXes
• Hadron will also support multiple smart-contract enabled blockchains and Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions like Liquid by Blockstream. Hadron aims to begin with vanilla reference products such as fiat-pegged or commodity-backed stablecoins and slowly transition to more complex solutions such as digital asset collateralized tokens including basket-collateralized products
Misc News
• @ThalaLabs got exploited for $25m but was able to quickly catch the exploiter and negotiate $300k bounty
